our wedding day!

Planning a wedding can take a toll on you. Trust me, you can't please everybody I tried... but in the end, it was about Adam and I. All of the things I was stressing out about to the day, didn't compare to how amazing that day was for us.

A destination wedding wasn't our first plan but it meant a lot to us. This was the place where we took our first vacation together, we also really wanted to go back to Universal and visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter where Adam proposed! We started off our week meeting everyone for a welcome dinner and making trips to and from the airport for our guests. The day before we had a small bbq at our Airbnb house, while letting others explore their options for food. Finally the day of... bridal suite with my girls for mimosas, hair and make up, and gifted them with jewelry and a robe. The guys took shots and were gifted lettered cufflinks and watches while getting ready. What's a wedding without a little drama? Well who knew there was a festival/concert going on??, long story short the whole bridal party was late to the ceremony haha. Leaving the hotel to the beach was probably my one and only bridezilla moment. Once we arrived, it finally hit me- I just kept repeating "don't trip, and don't cry, you paid for this make up!"

Some details are pictured and others not so much so I'll just list them..

Our arbor was a 2 post bamboo with curtain sheer white fabric tied back with pink peonies and also pink peonies, pink hydrangeas, white orchids and greens on the centerpiece.

Aisle was decorated with grey lanterns.

Reserved signs on chairs with photographs of my father and Adam's mother who passed.

Purple tulips from groomsmen (Lori's favorite flowers) were placed on her chair as they walked by.

My ringbearers wore grey shorts with suspenders and a white shirt with little bikes on them!

Welcome chalk sign of bridal party.

Blessing stones, to conclude our ceremony our guests made wishes for our marriage by tossing stones in the ocean.

Sand ceremony, we scooped a handful of sand into a keepsake bottle in remembrance of our beachside commitment.

My bouquet had photo charms of my father and one of my greatest friends Cody.

Afterwards (not pictured) we had a private dinner upstairs at Salty's Island Bar and Grille. Manager was able to accommodate our guest and help me with a custom menu. Not sure if it was not eating before the wedding or just relieved I could relax but that food never tasted so good! Plus seriously it was delicious!!! Later we all carpooled back to hotel and hung out for a bit. Plans for a reception here in Ohio is still to come!

Can't thank everyone enough who played a part in our big day. From our bridal party, our families, and the wedding planner!! Planning that, out of state was the best and easiest thing I've ever done. Couldn't have done any of it without Lisa from Tide The Knot Beach Weddings, her photographer, and Jason our videographer from Contessa Films, and of course our awesome travel agent!
