Hi guys! When I attended Capital University this was one of my favorite places and it has been ever since. North Market is a true Columbus gem. Its located at 59 Spruce St, Columbus, OH. Its downtown, near Short North area. Even on college move-in day as a freshman this is where I spent the rest of my day with my siblings. Just like my "A day in Yellow Springs" post its also an assortment of shops.. INDOORS!
These shops consists of bakeries, dining, produce/flowers, meat/fish, cookware, and other gifts. It's the best place to go if you cant decide what to eat. They have Indian, Thai, Mexican, Vietnamese, Italian, Polish, Belgium, and my ALWAYS go to Mediterranean. You can see a list of these merchants here. Before we made our multiple rounds (trust me you will also do this) until we decide what to eat, we stop at Bubbles, the Tea & Juice Co. We get our yummy smoothies, taro and red bean. It's a given that once we decide to go to North Market that we go on empty stomachs. Just the amount of different places you can eat, you will make multiple stops. Unfortunately everyone was so hungry after the drive that I didn't get a chance to get a picture of Adam or Tyler's food. They basically inhaled their food and for me, I realized halfway haha.
Adam had two stops, he ordered tacos from Dos Hermanos and Hubert's Polish Kitchen for his go to perogies. Tyler followed me to my go to Firdous Express. I ordered chicken breast filled with spinach, cheese, and peppers overtop spicy spinach rice. My combo also came with a greek salad and pita bread.
Once we had our food, we took it all up to the second floor where there were tables and chairs on both sides of the building over looking all the shops below. Some shops also have their own bars to sit at or outdoor seating. Usually after lunch or dinner I stop at Pistacia Vera for THE best macaroons. This time I think I drank my smoothie and ate my food too fast, I had no room for it.
