For those of you who are new here, hiiii! I'm thirty years young, and moved here to Cincinnati almost a year ago. I'm originally from the Philippines, and when I was eight, moved halfway around the world to a small town in the country and loved it! I was in every school club you can think of, and Vice-President of my graduating class. Even at work, I may be involved in some extra curriculars. My favorite hobbies are photography and snowboarding, and I'm one of the few that's left that likes to read books. I love penguins, minions and have Harry Potter marathons every other month.
I think I have a mild case of OCD which is probably why I love minimalism. I hate clutter and clean a lot, it makes me feel better. I like to make my bed and my couch cushions/pillows everyday and I turn off the lights before I leave a room. I'm shamefully basic and go to Starbucks for my coffee and I take photos of my food before I eat it lol. I'm definitely a bargain hunter/saver, I will find the cheapest and or coupon for whatever product or service it is- last month our electric bill was $17! I keep a song on repeat until I know all of the lyrics. I cry over just about everything I watch on tv whether it's happy or sad.
I work full time for an amazing company and I love my job, which also makes it hard to keep up with the blog. I also donate blood every 8 weeks and volunteer every month. I've always loved doing both ever since high school. In the past year I have organized boxes to send to the troops overseas for the Yellow Ribbon Foundation, prepared foods for the Lighthouse Youth Crisis Center for homeless/runaway children, read to a class for Read Across America on Dr. Seuss's birthday!, and so far my favorite event- score kept for the Special Olympics Ohio State Golf Tournament.
I met my husband Adam at a bar... during a lunch date with my sister haha. I signed my name on the receipt as clean and clear as I could and the rest is history. He asked me to marry him right infront of Hogwarts Castle! One year later (without telling anyone) we went to the court house with two witnesses and made it legal. A few months after that, we got married on the beach in Florida with our families and a few of our closest friends. This year we will be celebrating 9 YEARS of being together! He's my best friend, other half, soul mate, #1 supporter, and the best decision I've ever made. He is a 6 ft 3, Cyclist and Graphic Designer and ALWAYS a gentleman. He opens every door for me, lets me sleep in on the weekends and cooks me breakfast, lunch, and dinner as much as he can. So lucky to have him for the rest of my life :)
My family comes first. It consist of my husband Adam, our parents, our siblings, niece, nephews and then my closest friends who have been there for me. There's not a day that goes by that I don't talk to my parents or my siblings. No matter how far we are from each other, we always talk, if not send pictures or videos. We have two furbabies name Lily and Luna. Lily is 5 years old, she is a golden retriever and shar pei mix. Luna is pug, boston terrier, and chihuahua mix.
We have so many new loves in the year we have been here and I cant wait to explore more of this new place and share it with you guys. We are loving our new city, our new home.
